FunctionalMedFind is a directory of functional medicine practitioners. We help patients find qualified providers by condition, location, and specialty. The site is operated independently — we are not affiliated with any hospital system, insurance company, or practitioner network.
This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We've written it in plain English on purpose. If something is unclear, email us at hello@functionalmedfind.com.
We collect only what we need to operate the directory. Here's what that looks like in practice:
We do not collect health information, insurance details, or any data about the conditions you are researching.
Any information we collect is used strictly to operate and improve the directory:
We do not sell your information. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share it with third parties except as described in Section 6 (Third-Party Services).
Some practitioner profiles on this site are created from publicly available NPI registry data before a practitioner has claimed or interacted with their listing. This is standard practice for medical directories — your NPI information is public by federal regulation.
If you are a practitioner and you want to update, correct, or remove your listing, just email us at hello@functionalmedfind.com. We'll make changes promptly. You can also claim your listing to take full control of your profile.
Claimed listings may include additional information a practitioner has chosen to share — such as a bio, photo, specialties, or pricing. That information is provided voluntarily.
If you purchase a paid listing or any other service, payments are handled by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. We never see or store your full card number, expiration date, or CVV. Stripe handles all of that directly. You can review Stripe's privacy practices at stripe.com/privacy.
We use a small number of third-party services to run the site. Each has its own privacy policy:
We keep cookie use to a minimum. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. Our analytics are privacy-first and do not rely on cookie-based tracking.
Google Fonts may set cookies when fonts are loaded from Google's servers — this is outside our direct control. If you prefer to avoid this, you can block third-party cookies in your browser settings without affecting the core functionality of this site.
We keep form submissions (contact, claim, and inquiry forms) for as long as they are operationally useful — typically to maintain a record of listing requests or support conversations. If you'd like us to delete information you've submitted, just reach out to hello@functionalmedfind.com and we'll take care of it.
Anonymous analytics data has no personal connection to you and is retained in aggregated form indefinitely.
FunctionalMedFind is a directory, not a medical service. Nothing on this site — including practitioner profiles, condition pages, articles, or search results — constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or a treatment recommendation. Always consult a qualified, licensed healthcare practitioner before making decisions about your health.
Listing a practitioner on this directory is not an endorsement of their clinical care. We verify licenses and credentials as best we can, but we are not a licensing board and cannot guarantee the quality of any individual practitioner's work.

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. We won't notify users by email for minor housekeeping updates, but any significant changes to how we handle your data will be noted clearly here.
Continued use of FunctionalMedFind after a policy change means you've accepted the updated terms. If that's ever a concern, you can always reach out to ask what changed.
